A portrait of the cultural hodgepodge of American heritage, this third album by percussion-based Loop 2.4.3 begins as a nihilistic snapshot of the post- modern psyche, flashes back to childhood, and journeys through moments of isolation, anger and turmoil, love, tenderness, and nostalgia. From the dark, surreal world of Edgar Allan Poe, to the rebellious freedom of Easy Rider; from the ancient, desolate plains of Minnesota to the post- industrial streets of Brooklyn, Baltimore, and Detroit, this is honest music, drawing on a wide range of written and improvised styles, yet impervious to genre-specific expectations or limitations.  Featuring guest artists Shara Worden, Scott Bearden, Aviva Jaye, Jon Catler, Todd Reynolds, among others.  Original artwork by Jon Waldo.

Zodiac Dust (2009)

zodiac dust

This second album of Loop 2.4.3's retains the energy, immediacy, and vibrancy of the duo’s debut album, Batterie, while becoming both more focused and more experimental. The group’s innately narrative approach to instrumental writing is taken across the breadth of the entire album. Loop 2.4.3 utilizes the electro-acoustic instruments of their own innovation, the eLog and Rose Echo, with cello, violin, piano and voice, and their standard percussion arsenal to create a "fusing of mainstream perceptiveness and a post-modern philosophy" that "makes Zodiac Dust something that can be listened to over and over." (Audiophile Audition)

Batterie (2007)

Batterie

Loop 2.4.3's 2007 debut recording, this recording was captured in a one-hour session for Sonarchy Radio, in Seattle, WA.  Upon hearing the taped show, the duo decided to release it as is (no edits) as a recording.  The performance contains six original works for percussion, demonstrating a unique voice with broad ranging expression that shatters pre-conceptions about percussion music.  Instrumentation includes: multi-percussion set-up, marimba, steel drum
